It could help, but I guess that the only real solution would be a new driver from huawei. I get this frequently and I'm on the Vodafone Network in Ireland. I called & emailed Vodafone about this on a number of occasions - the operator I got on the phone in Data Support gave me an excuse about being in a area that has weak 3G signal. I tried in Dublin, Cork, Bray and Kilkenny all with similar results in either strong 3G signals or weak. IMHO (after testing for months) there is a problem with the drivers on mac. Of course they are happy to take my 45 euro every month though but not inclined to give me the level of service that extortionate price demands.
